Ben Ashmole (ashmolephotography) > The Story Bridge is one of Brisbane's most iconic landmarks. It's definitely my favourite part of Brisbane to photograph. All images creative commons non commercial
Ben Ashmole (ashmolephotography) > The sky over Brisbane during this sunset looks more like it was painted than photographed due to amazing cloud. All images creative commons non commercial.
Ben Ashmole (ashmolephotography) > I originally set out to get a sunset shot of the city but a storm rolled in. As the city lit up for the evening it made a lovely contrast in colours. All images creative commons non commercial.
Ben Ashmole (ashmolephotography) > After sunset, just before complete darkness sets in, you hit something called 'blue hour'. The sky goes a vivid dark blue which offers a colourful backdrop to the recently illuminated city. All images creative commons non commercial
Ben Ashmole (ashmolephotography) > The Pacific Highway at rush hour is packed with cars going to and from Brisbane. It makes a great light show during blue hour. All images creative commons non commercial.
Ben Ashmole (ashmolephotography) > Sunsets of this beauty are a regular occurence in this part of the world. One of my favourite places to shoot is down by the river on Kangaroo Point. This is one of the many jettys looking towards the city. All images creative commons non commercial
Ben Ashmole (ashmolephotography) > This was taken on Kangaroo Point, across the water from the CBD of Brisbane. Due to the low amount of light polution on this side of the river, on a clear night you can see a full sky of stars over the city. I don't recall ever going to another city where this is possible. Ben Ashmole (ashmolephotography) > This orb or mirrorball was sitting on the river due to the Brisbane Festival. It's purpose? no idea. All I know is it looks cool during blue hour. All images creative commons non commercial
