Ben Ashmole (ashmolephotography) > The incoming tide at sunset in paradise. Phu Quoc island is as good as it gets if you want to kick back and relax. All images creative commons non commercial.
Ben Ashmole (ashmolephotography) > The clearest sea water I have seen. Phu quoc Island is truly paradise. All images creative commons non commercial
Ben Ashmole (ashmolephotography) > The traditional row boats in Vietnam that are still in use look more like giant baskets. The fishermen use these boats to get from their large boats to the shore. During the day the whole harbour is full of them for as far as you can see. All images creative commons non commercial.
Ben Ashmole (ashmolephotography) > In the afternoon fisherman line the beach in Mui Ne hoping for a catch. This guy had no issues with me taking pictures of him and was there for hours after I stopped. All images creative commons non commercial

Ben Ashmole (ashmolephotography) > In South East Asia Buddha statues like this are common place. This one in Nha Trang, Vietnam was especially large and impressive. It helped the shot that the cloud was suitably epic on that day. All images creative commons non commercial
Ben Ashmole (ashmolephotography) > The famous Hoi An lanterns can be bought in stores like this all over the town. Not sure there is enough choice in this one though! All images creative commons non commercial
Ben Ashmole (ashmolephotography) > Hoi An is famous for its lanterns. At night they are everywhere decorating and lighting the town around the river. This was taken inside a small lantern shop, of which there are predictively many! All images creative commons non commercial

Ben Ashmole (ashmolephotography) > In South East Asia, the best food is found out on the streets. In Hoi An, this little place next to the river was bustling with activity all night. All images creative commons non commercial.
Ben Ashmole (ashmolephotography) > Marble Mountain is just outside of Da Nang in Vietnam. I was in the area for a few days but ended spending most of my time here. The top of the mountain has an impressive set of cave shrines and a beautiful temple complex. This is the view of the temple pagoda from halfway up the mountain. Ben Ashmole (ashmolephotography) > Just outside of Hue there is a Japanese cover bridge. As I was crossing it, this elderly lady in full traditional Vietnamese dress had sat down for a break in the shade. All images creative commons non commercial
Ben Ashmole (ashmolephotography) > Ha Long Bay is known for its thousand of karst limestone islands. It very rarely gets publicity for the many impressive cave systems that exist on those islands. This is one of the many caves that I was able to explore while in Ha Long Bay. It was midday and the harsh sunlight was pouring through the cave opening. All images creatvie commons non commercial
Ben Ashmole (ashmolephotography) > Some cloud is so epic, I like to refer to it as 'biblical'. I am not religious in any way at all but it seems to fit this scene. All images creative commons non commercial
Ben Ashmole (ashmolephotography) > This lady was my guide when I trekked through Sapa valley in northern Vietnam. What I like about her tribe is that their traditional dress is so colourful. She did the whole trek wearing flip-flops and put me in my walking boots to shame. All images creative commons non commercial
